We read this book in kindergarten today, which features pictures and one word on every page to tell the story of two friends having an argument and then coming back together. Because this book is from France, it uses certain French words that are less commonly used in Canada (and in my kindergarten French classes!). The kids were able to understand the story with help from the pictures and my tone of voice and took it one step further by coming up with French synonyms, using words the already know, be words in the book. Wow! Fantastique!

Salut = Bonjour ou Au revoir
Doucement = lentement
Stop = arrête
Si = oui

We also dramatized the story with help from two of our friends, plus a reader. Bravo!
